Real Client Letter
August 23, 2024
Mr. Cunningham,
My apologies for taking so long to reach out. Initially, I had asked Nicole for your address to send you a thank you card after we settled and received our money, but I had a really hard time reaching out. I felt once I reached out, that’s it. It felt so final and emotionally I wasn’t ready for that. I wasn’t ready to let go of the one person who fought for my Dad. I can never thank you enough, and my prayer is that you will continue to fight for our vulnerable elderly/disabled. I still get these mental visions of how he fell and how I wasn’t there to help him. I can’t wrap my head around how someone could see him lying on the floor and not get him the medical attention he needed. I can still hear the mediator’s voice saying, “Well, no one saw him fall.” His injuries spoke for my dad and the evidence was clear! The mediator made up his mind even before we started that this was just another nursing home lawsuit, forgetting about the victim and victim’s family (shame on him!)
Thank You, Mr. Cunningham, from the bottom of my heart! There is nothing I can do or say to let you know how thankful I am that you fought for my Dad. The work you, your wife and, of course, Nicole do is amazing, and I wish you all, ALL the happiness in the world for what you do.
If you ever find yourself in the Valley, please know you have a home here with us, you will always be special to our family. I will say the money doesn’t change anything; it sits in the bank. My only hope is that change will come from our lawsuit. It may not save everyone but, if it helps just one person, then our fight was worth it and my Dad’s death wasn’t in vain. These facilities need to know some families will advocate and be a voice for our families.
God Bless You and Your Practice!!
